We've made some important safety updates to out 2020-2021 team tryout process. Instead of teaching the tryout choreography in-person to a large group all at once, THIS Monday, August 3, we will be sending out videos of the tryout choreography via email to those who are registered for 2020 tryouts. Prospective members will then have 2 weeks to learn and practice the tryout dance on their own before trying out for the judges on August 17-18.
On August 17-18, in order to practice social distancing, Students will arrive at staggered times that will be pre-assigned by the directors. Prospective team members will perform the choreography for the HP Dance Co. directors and judges in small groups at the studio. After each group finishes dancing, those dancers will then exit the building. Once everyone has performed at least once, judges will then call back groups of dancers to return to the studio to be re-evaluated. Results will be announced on Tuesday, August 18. Please keep Wednesday, August 19 open for a mandatory meeting and team apparel orders.
To register for tryouts, please read our entire Team tryout packet and submit your online registration before August 3, 2020 (so you can receive the videos as soon as they are released).
